END OF TERM
When children have extended periods of time off of school they miss very important stages in their learning. Much of what we do builds on previous learning so going on holiday during term time can put children at a real disadvantage. It is very important that your child should be in school as regularly as possible. Please do your utmost to resist the temptation to take holidays during term-time. If you must take holidays during the school year you must complete a holiday form from the office. An attendance summary is given out for each child at the end of each year which is then kept on the child's pupil file. Ten full days may be authorised by the Chair of Governors. After this, your child will have unauthorised absences recorded on their permanent record.
Will parents of children in Year 2 please note that April and May are very bad months for holidays for your children as it is the lead up to the KS1 Tests. Please avoid these very important times.
