School Council
A School Council has now been established since 2007. This enables all pupils to have ‘a voice’. In September of each year, one boy and one girl member from each class is nominated and elected as School Council Representatives. These children are responsible for contributing towards moving the school forwards.
Children feedback to their class on a weekly basis any issues that are raised by the School Council. Ofsted commented that; ‘Pupils are expanding their contribution to the community well through the new school council and they know the importance of listening to the views of others. As one councilor said, ‘we can make our school a happy, healthy, safe place to learn.’’
